Out of Comic-Con comes a new Trolls clip, featuring Branch (voiced by Justin Timberlake) and Anna Kendrick’s character Poppy, who channels Simon & Garfunkel for a performance of their popular 1964 release, “Sound of Silence.” Check out the clip below followed by four movie banners.
Nine-time Grammy and four-time Emmy Award winning musician and actor Justin Timberlake, in addition to serving as executive music producer and performing multiple songs on the soundtrack, leads the cast in the role of Branch. Joined by Academy and Tony Award nominee Anna Kendrick as Princess Poppy, the two embark on a hair-raising adventure that also includes actor and “The Late Late Show” host James Corden as Biggie; Kunal Nayyar (“The Big Bang Theory”) as Guy Diamond; Swedish electropop duo Icona Pop (Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo) as the Fashionistas; YouTube personality GloZell Green as Grandma Rosiepuff; singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani as DJ Suki; YouTube personality Meg DeAngelis as Moxie; comedian Ron Funches (“Undateable”) as Cooper; and actor-comedian Russell Brand (Get Him to the Greek) as Creek.
Directed by Mike Mitchell (Shrek Forever After) and Walt Dohrn (head of story, Shrek Forever After) and produced by Gina Shay (Shrek Forever After), the film for the first time tells the story behind the beloved Trolls and their gravity defying and colorful manes. Setting out on an epic adventure that takes Poppy (Academy and Tony Award nominee Anna Kendrick) and Branch far beyond the only world they have ever known, their quest will test their strength and reveal their true colors – with no shortage of musical mash-ups along the way!
A 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks Animation film, Trolls is set to arrive in theaters on November 4, 2016.
